Scorpion Performance drivers Coughlin and Blair Win AGAIN!

Fort Lauderdale, FL ( Pressreleasehome ) August 13, 2009 – Scorpion Performance, Inc., an American manufacturer of precision parts for high performance engines, congratulates NMCA Edelbrock Drag Racing drivers Troy Coughlin and Jim Blair for winning again at what has been dubbed the All Star Nationals this past weekend at the zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, North Carolina. This was their second win in as many races.

While Troy Coughlin won in the Scorpion Performance Pro Street Class, which is the top class in the NMCA series, Scorpion-sponsored Jim Blair took the win in the Mickey Thompson Super Street 10.5W Class. Scorpion Performance sponsors Blair who is a two-time world champion and is leading the points again this year.

According to author John Nelson, “Moving more air through this motor with a set of big, 235cc runner Motown 23-degree cylinder heads, teamed with a bump in cam specs via a set of Scorpion 1.6:1 rocker arms, proved to be exactly a formula our test subject liked – especially at the track.” The engine picked up 16 horsepower, more torque and ran a three-tenths better elapsed time at the track.
