IBCT Offers New Business Continuity Training Incentives

June 22nd, 2009

The Institute for Business Continuity Training today announced it will provide new Early Bird incentives to assist firms sending participants to its business continuity workshops. Effective immediately, IBCT will provide free airfare, free hotel and/or free meals to all course participants who register under the Early Bird incentive plan.

“In these times of economic uncertainly, all companies need a business continuity plan more now than ever before”, notes IBCT Managing Director Michael Bittle. “With revenue and supplies stretched as thin as they are, even a minor business interruption can quickly escalate into a major disaster.”

At the same time, due to the current economic climate, companies have trimmed their travel and training budgets, making it more difficult to acquire the knowledge and expertise necessary for creating an effective business continuity plan.

IBCT would like to help all firms and course participants address their Business Continuity training needs, and is now offering the following Early Bird incentives to course participants who register and pay for their courses at least one month in advance.

For a limited time, participants taking the 4-day Effective Business Continuity Management course at a USA location:

> who register and pay the full ECP-601 course fee at least two months before the course start date will receive free airfare (within continental USA), free accommodation at the course hotel for the duration of the course, and free meals for the duration of the course; or

> who register and pay the full ECP-601 course fee at least one month before the course start date will receive free accommodation at the course hotel for the duration of the course, and free meals for the duration of the course.

Some restrictions must necessarily apply, other arrangements can be negotiated, and details of each incentive will be decided upon a case-by-case basis in consultation with the course participant.

Inquiries should be sent by email to [email protected]

“All companies need a business continuity plan, now more than ever before” adds Mr. Bittle. “It is our hope that with these new Early Bird incentives, the Institute for Business Continuity Training can ensure individuals and companies continue receiving the business continuity training they need.”

Former Death Row Veteran Tha Realest To Release Debut Album July 14th

June 10th, 2009

Being signed to one of the most storied record labels in music history has its valleys and peaks. And while only a few know the feeling, no one may know it better than Tha Realest who is preparing to release his debut album “Witness Tha Realest” on July 14th from Team Dime Ent. & RBC Records.

Proving his depth in the game, “Witness Tha Realest” isn’t your typical debut. The album features assistance from Ray J, Fat Joe, WC, J. Valentine, Crooked I, Yukmouth, EDI of Tha Outlawz, Devin The Dude, Sean P, C-Bo, and more. “Witness Tha Realest” will finally see the light of day after being over 10 years in the making.

“Get It N” is the album’s street single, produced by Detail of Konvict Music and is already making rounds in clubs across the nation.

Having signed to Death Row Records in 1996, Tha Realest is best known for looking and sounding similar to Tupac Shakur. Often having to address rumors that it was he who recorded many posthumous Pac verses, that would ultimately appear on the late rappers own records released after his passing.

He made his musical debut on the Gang Related soundtrack, appearing in two songs with rapper J-Flexx under the pseudonym Tenkamenin, sharing his name with a 11th century African Emperor of the Ghana Empire. In 1999, he performed seven tracks on the Death Row collaboration Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000. He would again appear on yet another Death Row compilation titled Too Gangsta for Radio, performing on two songs.

Tha Realest left Death Row Records in 2002 to form his own record label, 2Real Entertainment (later Omerta Entertainment). Now, in conjunction with RBC Records and NBA Superstar Mike Bibby’s Team Dime Ent., Tha Realest is set to release his first solo record “Witness Tha Realest” on July 14th.

NOW AVAILABLE through WHSmith, Waterstones, Amazon worldwide and other stores.

ISBN: 1849238901

Synopsis:

For twenty years civil war has torn the Empire apart; the Imperial line extinguished as the mad Emperor Quintus burned in his palace, betrayed by his greatest general. Against a background of war, decay, poverty and violence, men who once served in the proud Imperial army now fight as mercenaries, hiring themselves to the greediest lords.

On a hopeless battlefield that same general, now a mercenary captain tortured by the events of his past, stumbles across hope in the form of a young man begging for help. Kiva is forced to face more than his dark past as he struggles to put his life and the very Empire back together. The last scion of the Imperial line will change Kiva forever.

Excerpt from Interregnum:

“the man continued forward, his two weapons

“the man continued forward, his two weapons ready and swinging as he moved. Athas stood still, arms remaining folded. Quintillian tugged on the medic’s arm.

“This isn’t good” he said urgently. “Why isn’t the captain helping?”

Mercurias grinned back at him.

“He doesn’t need any help. Can’t you see that?”

The large man finally broke his slow advance and ran at Athas, the mace high and ready to drop and the sword jutting forwards at chest height. Athas continued to stand until the last moment, when he shifted his weight slightly to the left, stepped forward inside the reach of the blade and, unfolding his arms, jammed the fork he’d been holding into the man’s throat. The momentum carried the two forward a couple more paces, the fork tearing skin as the movement jarred them both. As they stopped, the big man stared down in shock and the weapons toppled from his hands. He reached both arms toward Athas, who merely waggled the fork, still buried in the man’s neck. His other finger waved in front of the enemy as though scolding a naughty child.

“Ah Ah. Play nice” he said sweetly.

The big man’s hands dropped slowly to his sides. Athas smiled at him.

“I’m now going to remove the fork” he said slowly and clearly. “You’re going to have to reach up very quickly and grasp your throat to prevent too much blood loss. After that you’re going to leave. We have a medic in the corner, but I doubt he’ll feel inclined to help you.”

Mercurias laughed as Athas continued. “I noticed an apothecary on the way into town. If you can get there without too much blood loss, you’ll be alright, but it’ll cost you a packet and you may never speak again, coz I think I touched your voice box. Be happy. I could have stuck your windpipe. Ready?”

The big man, a stunned and stupefied look on his face, nodded, causing him to wince as a fresh gout of blood pumped out around the fork.

“Go!”

Athas removed the utensil with a bold, sweeping stroke and a great quantity of dark blood splashed onto the floor. A fraction of a second later, Jorun was out of the tavern, one hand clutching his throat very tight. The sergeant bent down and gingerly, trying to avoid the bulk of the blood, picked the two weapons up from where they lay. He tossed the mace onto the bar.

“Sell it to pay for the cleaning” he said loudly.
